Iam simply a landscape artist although my true interest rests with architecture.
This is perhaps because my grandfather, who lived with me as a child, was a civil engineer and must have passed on his love of structure to me.
I can feel the presence of generations of people passing through all those old buildings. To me buildings are not cold, inanimate objects but vibrate with life.
As far as my artistic process is concerned -
Here is my statement:
Remember the “Rocky and Bullwinkle Show”? Sometimes between features Rocky would bop over to Bullwinkle and ask him what he was painting. Bullwinkle would answer, “I just paint what I see”. Well that’s me … me and Bullwinkle, we just paint what we see.
A more saccharine approach for those who need it:
I want to share my own special vision of the world with everyone.
A more harsh approach for those who deserve it:
Cut the bull@#%&. An artist’s work should stand on its own and not need 6 pages of text to explain it.
